Carbon County Petrified Wood from Lake Uinta in Utah, is a remarkable fossilized wood formed from ancient trees in the Eocene Era. Many specimens from this region are partially encased with stromatolite, a rare, layered formation created by prehistoric microbial life.
Collector notes
This particular specimen is polished on one side to reveal its exquisite mineralization, preserved wood grain, and occasional stromatolite inclusions.
