Gary Green Jasper, also known as Larsonite or petrified bog wood, is a unique silicified material found near McDermitt along the Oregon-Nevada border. Formed 11 to 15 million years ago when volcanic ash covered ancient swamp vegetation, it features distinct shades of teal, lime green, blue, brown, and pink.
