Bumblebee Jasper is a rare, vividly banded stone found exclusively at the Papandayan and Ciremai volcanoes in West Java, Indonesia. Despite its name, it is not a true jasper, but rather a fibrous calcite composed of sulfur, arsenic, and manganese oxides. Because it contains arsenic sulfides, handle it carefully and wash your hands after touching raw or tumbled pieces.
