Dugway geodes are spherical rock formations with sparkling quartz or chalcedony crystal interiors, found in the Dugway Geode Beds of Juab County, Utah. Age: Formed 6 to 8 million years ago during the Miocene epoch from volcanic rhyolite deposits. Structure: Gas cavities filled with mineral-rich groundwater over millions of years, creating hollow or quartz-banded spheres. Contents: Contain clear quartz, amethyst, pink rose quartz, or white chalcedony. UV Glow: Many glow a vibrant lime-green under ultraviolet light due to harmless trace uranium salts.
